replacing the M&P 15 sport barrel Shroud?

If you have an M&P 15 Sport and have done this before, please lend me advice.

I bought the M&P 15 sport, i don't regret buying it, i'm not interested in any a dust cover or FA. But the barrel shroud is killing me.

I want to get something like the 6.75in barska quad rail. 6.75 Inch Quad Rail - Newegg.com

But I cant figure out how to even begin getting the current shroud rail off without drilling the front sight off. The pins look more like rivets.

Every time I go on Google and enter M&P 15 barrel shroud, i get bombarded with M&P 15-22 forums and links.

I didn't really want to pay a gun smith, but I would if I had too.

you dont have to drill anything....bull the delta ring back and it should come appart. two pieces top and bottom. gluck

Go to YouTube they have a lot of videos about it, but all you have to do is pull down the delta ring and it pops off. They have a delta ring wrench for it but i used a large pair of metal sheers and it was easy
