This is the way modern manufacturing has been for at least the last 10 years if you can't fix things on your own you're going to be left behind. How can you "enjoy" it, if it's defective from the factory and you can't get parts to fix it ???
not if you are using it.RVs are the worst "investment" ever, and I currently have one (my third), I'm a glutton for punishment and throwing money away.
I will tell you from my experience of owning trailers , and doing insurance claims on RV's, the roofs are the week point and when they leak it is a HUGE repair problem.... either rotting wood and or mold, in addition to damaged inside trim. I used to total trailers rather than try to repair them

I bought a 2018 Thor brand new, POS! I traded it in and got a 2008 Fleetwood, built like a brick S house! Do your homework before you buy. Most of the water leaks are self inflicted because owners have no idea how to inspect and maintain them.
I rebuilt the floor in a 19’ travel trailer. What a bitch. Never ever again.
They are generally poorly built from the factory and going down the road at highway speeds causes everything to flex. Without a doubt the construction has gotten much worse with COVID
I will say that I wish I still had my 2018 Rockwood. All things considered it was a good unit and didn’t give me any trouble.

our only issue with an old one was some parks have a 10 year old or newer clause for staying long term. We would occasionally stay at places we likes for a couple months.Getting a lemon like that sucks as the lemon law doesn’t apply to RV’s.
We are in the process of upgrading to a 5th wheel which will be our fourth camper. We are very much leaning towards a used one. Once the new tow vehicle comes in we will start looking for the trailer.

It doesnt help that gas is average 4.09 out hereWe tend to wander to new places. A week here and a week or two there. We have been staying close to home as our parents have some health issues.

Back in the day, a trailer was a steel frame platform,Does anyone actually bother to make well insulated RVs? It seems to appear that most of them either leak like a sieve ...
It's not nearly as popular to camp while skiing, etc.... or are designed for warmer climates.
IIRC, the Gas Crisis killed the mid-70's RV boom.It doesnt help that gas is average 4.09 out here![]()
That and the fact that no one will work on them is why we are putting our Class A 37ft gasser up for sale. We had an amazing summer driving around, but it's just too expensive right now. I've learned quite a bit because I had to do my own repairs, so I'm kind of grateful for that, but I'm done.It doesnt help that gas is average 4.09 out here![]()

InTech RV's are getting larger. They started as a well known vehicle hauler that is well used in NASCAR. A few years back they got in to tiny hatch back style rvs. Now some are getting to be good sized. All aluminum. I'd give them a look when it comes to it. Best of luck. Matt

Whoa whoa there skinflinty, what happens in Vegas…
Back in the 60's and 70's you could get a room for $50.00 but they started charging more in the 80's and beyond. Last time I spent time in Vegas in 2006 I spent $180.00 a night at the MGM.$50 bucks a day for an RV spot in a cramped camping area ???

I got an idea in my head about buying an RV, ... and staying in the RV at work M-F and driving home Fri night. ... There's a lot at work where I could park and they would probably be ok with that.
Remember, RVers:
When answering a phone while behind the wheel,
don't be tempted to touch your phone during the call.
Move the phone way across the cockpit,
and jam buds in both ears for safety.
Egg-zactly.I don't think this is legal for the same reason it's illegal to wear headphones while driving.
One ear must remain unobstructed of listening devices so you can hear vehicle horns, train whistles, railroad crossing bells, drawbridge warnings and emergency vehicle sirens.

13 foot RV attempts to cross under 9’9” train trestle at Racine, Mo.
JOPLIN, Mo — About 3:15 p.m. reports of a vehicle crash at Racine, Missouri, at the railroad trestle over CC, just south of MO-86. It’s within sight of Seneca Rural Fire District main station…www.fourstateshomepage.com
When I was investigating the possibility of buying an RV a few years back, I dont recall ever reading anything but complaints about Thor.Getting a lemon like that sucks as the lemon law doesn’t apply to RV’s.

I'm starting to think I took the wrong career path. Buy land, install utilities, hire out most of the maintenance, then sit back and make money and enjoy the FL weather. The type of people that can afford prices like that means I probably wouldn't have to hire a bouncer or put the local police on speed-dial.Fort Myers Beach off the island and nowhere close to the beach, 20 nights, close to $1600 dollars for 20 nights
Want to be on the beach? OFF SEASON it is about $2000/ month, in season there are no monthly sites but weekly sites are $600 to $900 a week

Massachusetts, LOL.Massachusetts: “Headphones or earbuds prohibited while driving, unless they are involved in the control of the vehicle itself.”
