I am in need of some more space in my safe and I am considering getting a safe door organizer.

The two main ones I see available are ones that rely on strapping a Velcro panel on the inner door where all the gun pouches or storage devices use Velcro to stick to the panel. The other kind I see are the “Molle” kind. These are a sheet of fabric with “molle” loops and your devices snap to it using small loops of nylon webbing.

I want to get feedback from folks that have used both of these systems. The molle panel gives me more peace of mind for things not falling off but it looks like heavy pistols and other items wiggle and float around. The Velcro panels seem less wiggly but I have some heavy pistols and fear the Velcro may not stay attached.

Any feedback or direction would be appreciated. Also any recommendations of brands that are built well would be great. Thanks.

I don't know what you consider a heavy pistol but I have had 1911s in holsters held by velcro to the door for >10 yrs and never had any problem.

I have this. I can't believe what they charge for this now. I think I paid $100 for it. They also make smaller ones that cost less.

I really like it. I ended up hot gluing the hooks to the panel so that they don't slide around when I take a gun up off of it. But other than that, it works great. Very sturdy.

No issues with the cloth holsters built into my door panel. They’ve held up to everything.

But I don’t care for the organization. Sometime I’ll get around to implementing an solution for mounting uppers/SBRs/PCCs on the door.
