Amazon. A little slow to deliver but it's a decent lock as far as these cheap POS's go. Already put it in, works fine. I think a little nicer than OEM, at least the one I had.

@Mountain finds safe. Brings it home. Asks for advice how to open it, decides after a week or so to order picks after a week or so, gets picks. Tried for ~5 min.

Gives up and goes nuclear…

I don’t know if vise grips qualify as “nuclear” on NES.

You're very generous. My lock picking attention span lasted only 4 minutes. I was timing myself- for NES of course.

I bet the 1957 $1 bill is worth enough to surprise you.
Some of those Kennedy coins have some value .
My mom had a small portion of my dads coin collection appraised , we where shocked and they where all circulated found in the wild coins. Im guessing my dad cashed in the silver over the years

Well mountain found some ammo and coins. I found a similar cabinet shortly after Mountain ,
Sadly I was assured by the owner there was nothing of value in mine. He said maybe a small knife . Heck I got screwed
Only thing in it was a empty box of vape
The rifle rest inserts where missing.

I stopped to ask the guy if he had the inserts, he shrugged his shoulders and said everything but the cabinet was gone in the basement , broom clean for pending sale.
Said key probably got tossed also. His son was supposed to take the cabinet. He grew tired of waiting and put it on the lawn .

I might have the plastic rifle inserts. I can check if you need them
 
So if where not for Mountain and this pist I most likely have left this road side find ….on the road side
Of course I got nothing cool in mine at all.
Heck the rifle rack guts are even missing

I did find the couple of locks I salvaged from some other cabinets , only one was big enough to fit the existing hole. AS ALWAYS something usually does not fit
The piece that fits the lock plate is to big so I have to file to fit.

Like many of my projects and my broke cheap arse ….,im not going to bither to find a lock set that fits .

Its not like im doing anything today

Well mountain my “safe” is back up and running . Stuffed the no love items in there.
Free up some other space all while keeping everything locked up safe to appease the law and the wife

Now to sneak the hair dryer in there to get those labels off
