Help Me Crack This "Safe"- Pew Pew Inside

Imagine the brass rats if they thought there was silver in the berms
Back in the day when the Sheriffs Dept. shot .38 Spec wadcutters in the borrow pits, we'd scrape down the sand to find the slugs then sell them for scrap.

It was quite the feat balancing two one-gallon paint cans filled with lead from the handle bars of our BMX bikes.

Good times!

"Brass Rats"

I've heard tell of them.

I saw one once.

The critter was gathering up my 308 brass as fast as I could pull the trigger at my home range here in NH.
I was doing a few 25rnd mag dumps with my LR 308.
The hot brass was burning it's fingers.

I just kinda laughed and thanked it for picking up my brass.
Confusion was evident in it's eyes

I've ran across a few. Guys not even shooting picking up brass. I stepped on a bunch of mine dude was picking up. Ask first I reload and pick up mine if there's a bunch of guys shooting I'll leave it. If you need it ask I'll give you some if your shooting rh lanes don't clean lh while people are shooting.

I make bullets out of mine supposedly kills vampires or werewolves or leprechauns. I dont remember what they kill or were they went maybe down range. Might have to make more
Come man, silver bullets are for werewolves and wooden stakes or holy water for the vampires. (Didn’t you ever watch “the howling “ and “fright night”, classic 1980’s movies)

Couldn't remember anything anymore. Good thing I did try it the other way

I just got done editing the footage and compiled it into a video for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to like comment and subscribe

Awesome work! You have really captured the essence of this thread!

I just sold my 40 year old coin collection last month. I got darn near melt value with a few silver dollars bringing more. I ended up donating the rest to a youth coin collection organization trying to keep the hobby alive. No one uses coins anymore so no interest in collecting. Stamp collecting died at least a decade ago.

Oh, and high quality Chinese fakes have dented the top of the coin market as well.

Wow, the Chinese have to ruin everything LOL.

Just for sh!ts and giggles I'm going to figure out the melt value. Silver is $29 / ounce.

Melt value (or face value if no silver) total is $236.21.

Now the trick is finding a buyer. “We buy gold and silver “ mall shops will clip you for 20%, with $300 total silver you are not going to get much of a break. Don’t forget the smelter, the melt guy, has got to get paid too.

If you get 85%, you are doing well.

Several years ago there was an NES shoot at the Shirley Rod and Gun Club. It was a great time but there was a group of old guys hanging around towards the end of the shoot. As soon as the range was declared cold those guys pounced on the brass. It was like a bunch of rats getting cheese.

Nice score. The silver certificate notes are cool. I have a few & one that I received when a cashier made change.

Aha, so the Stack-On might end up the greater value after all? I did want an 'overflow' cabinet to stash guns I rarely shoot. $30 for a new lock and key set.

Can't decide whether or not to sell those four shotgun shells. I should start a thread.
I ripped the guts out of mine and put in wooden shelves to store ammo.

But wait, there's more!

Fabulous prizes for NES green members, and 3X entries for any green members who have already posted (or even shitposted [rofl] ) in this thread. My windfall is your windfall, LOL sort of...

Look for the karma in the members section.

Already posted in that thread. :D

BTW, I once got silver certificates in the payment envelope when I had a paper route growing up. Sometime in the late 70s to early 80s. Sucked balls doing that in MA as a kid. Either had to walk it, or use my bike. Winter was the worst, but in the rain was a close second any time of year.
