DOVER, N.H. -- Police on Thursday were investigating what they said appears to be an accidental bedroom shooting.

Investigators said a 36-year-old Manchester woman's wrist was grazed by a bullet Wednesday night while she was sleeping. The gun was fired by a man she was visiting who also was in bed, and police said it appears the shooting was an accident.

The bullet ended up lodged in a television set. The woman's injuries were minor, but police said it could have been a lot worse.

I remember reading of a news report of an incident involving a firearm where
the guy was using a handgun as an.... ahem... "stimulation device" and
it went off while in the process. Strangely enough the girl
forgave him, (by some miracle, she was injured but not killed, and recovered)
and was trying to prevent him from getting prosecuted for his negligence....
just goes to show you the intelligence of those involved!
