sending mutiple name PMs

I see this info on the PM screen:
You may send your message to up to 20 people at a time.
Separate multiple user names with ';'
But I can't seem to get it right. Does the ';' have to be like this: John;Mary
or like this:
John ; Mary

I'm using correct NES member/poster names and spelling but can't get it to work.

The second example.

Type in the first few letters of the name and let the software auto fill, hit enter, then start to type the first few letters of the second name and let the software auto fill, and hit enter.

It will automatically insert the semicolons.
