I built the upper , AP upper receiver with a WMD NIB bolt, Diamondhead 13" handguard

sure that's not the 15" guard? looks almost the same length as the 16" barrel...

Yep, it was the 13" hg, the 15 would be into the brake... I only have the 83\4 on my shelf... think I'll put it together, see how it looks..

I used 8.75"VRS-T Diamondhead hand guards, DH FDE Integrated Combat Sighting System, DH low profile gas block, DH T-Brake compensator for 308\AR10 variants, BCM charging handle, Spikes T upper, Magpul stock... oh ya... and a Green Mountain Barrel 16" 300BO fluted barrel.

I painfully made it to the range this afternoon... Wow!!! What a great gun!!! I shot 25 rounds of Fiocchi 150GRS. FMJBT. The gun loved it, flawless from the 1st round. I've built 3 of these and every one of them sold before I had much time to enjoy it. I'd like to keep this one for a while, but... I may let it go .... I can always build another one. I bought a couple guns last week and need to replenish the funds. One of them was a beautiful Norinco Mac 90.. another beauty, like new and it shot like a champ.. But .... maybe I can make room for it and keep it .... forever...

whats the consensus on best barrel length for a sbr 300 blackout upper, waiting on a stamp now, but might put in for another before our new trust regs etc.

and, for those that already have sbr's, i submitted my form with one overall length for my sbr build, but have since thought about using a different stock which may effect OAL, what the procedure there, still new to sbrs and nfa

My understanding is that at 8-9" all the powder in round has been burned so using lengths beyond that is just excess weight.

Went with a Rainier upper, because I like how they handled the Forward Assist area. I hate a slick-side look, and figured I didn't need an FA. Besides, it make it immediately apparent which upper I have.

I gotta get some subsonic so I can run it with the can, but I'm really impressed with the Fiocchi 150gr FMJ. Gun shoots like a bullet hose.

I wouldn't call it excess weight if you are looking for higher velocity numbers.
