Just a tease .
I'm hoping my rivets and pins come in this week .
It's 54r btw. I got a free barrel from a company after the prexis one failed . Prexis sent me a replacement for my full size build.
But this other company that hates them sent me one free of charge . I wasn't expecting it so I didn't have the rivets on order .
I brought it to work Friday and chopped it down to ak length then turned it.
This carbine going to be a mutt .
Cold steel 80% receiver.
Bulgarian 74 buttstock , hand guards and grip.
Romanian 47 rear trunnion milled to fit 1.5mm receiver(done by me)
Russian gas tube.
Hungarian front sight .
Yugo front trunnion m70
Romanian psl bolt/carrier and trigger.
Ak builder ak length piston .
I have a amd 65 break for now.
Looks like an interesting build, are you cutting the mag well to take psl mags?
Nice looking piece, I just picked up my second Mak this past week for $675. I'm going to get both of them up to my specs soon, I can't wait to rid myself of these thumbhole stocks!
Picked this up at an online auction. Hungarian SA-85M (MAK-90) unfired came in original box with sling. looks to be made around 91-92 all said and done for less than $700

It's a psl/rpk 80% receiver. I had to cut all the holes.
If you look at the rear you can see the rear plates I had to make to work with a normal stock vs the curved ones for the thumb hole.
A psl receiver is the same length as a ak/rpk but the trigger and grip are shifted back. The plates that are welded on allow you to move the trunnion to the rear.
That'll be pretty cool when you finish that. Ill be watching this thread. I'm interested in building an ak probably in 7.62x39 but need to do a lot of research on building it. Do you reccomended getting an 80% lower and milling it out or one of the nodaks if you can find them? I work in a machine shop as well.
Battle fresh yugo I built

I'm just waiting in my barrel pins , sight block/gas block etc pins. I'll thread the muzzle when I have cash for a die or if some one wants to lend me one.
Gas block is drilled and tapped for a set screw so I can adjust the gas.
Nice!
Details on the build?
It's a milled assault weapons of Ohio receiver
I used a nice clean yugo m70 parts kit
It's a used yugo barrel that I bought from center fire systems for $20
G2 trigger pack and a hogue grip
This thing cycles like butter and can hit the crap out of a 10" steel plate at 200yds standing kalashkid can attest to this..................................... yes i can and also swinging bowling pins at 100.
