so I have just purchased a SP 101 Wiley Clapp edition. the one with the Novak sights and contoured cylinder hammer and trigger. I was wondering if anybody knows of a gunsmith who could replace the 2 inch barrel with a 3 inch barrel and then put the novak cut into the new barrel. I know it will be on the expensive side, but this is more of making my dream revolver so I know it will not come cheap. the exact specifications of my dream revolver I've always wanted have been: 357 mag., stainless steel, small frame, 3 inch barrel, adjustable sights, pretty grips, checkered hammer, contoured for carrying, and durable. so this gun will literally meet all my requirements except the 3 inch barrel, although I do wish it was a 6 shot. there are a few old Smith and Wesson Model 66s that were three inch, but they go for a lot more than this gun plus all the work will be, and they were known for blowing up due to a weak forcing cone if you use 357 too often. so long story short if I can get a 3 inch barrel on this puppy I will never need to buy another revolver again. at least I will tell my wife that after she finds out about this one.

Gp100 comes in 3", sp101 is the size I want though. I cant change the size of the frame and cylinder, but I can (hopefully) change the barrel length. Both having a 3" bbl. They will shoot the same, but the gp wouldn't have the ability to be easily concealed. Trust me, I gave it consideration.
