State Park Carry Bill Passes Maine House and Heads to Senate

Yesterday, Legislative Document 1347, the state park carry bill, passed in the state House by an 88 to 59 vote (roll call vote). LD 1347 is expected to be considered on the Senate floor as early as today.
Introduced by state Representative Richard Cebra (R-Naples), LD 1347 would eliminate the prohibition on concealed carry permit holders carrying a concealed firearm in state parks and historic sites and state property under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Safety and the Legislative Council.
