Stock checkering

I am not sure what thread to post this question, but someone here probably has the answer.

Is there anyone in the area could do checkering on a shotgun stock and forearm? I got a Winchester Model 12 with new wood but has not checkering.

Not local and he always has a few months or more backlog, but when I don’t checker arms myself, I have Tim do them.

It might be cheaper to sell the set you have and buy a pre checkered set?

Ive been out of the shotgun/stock work for several years
Coles and Joel Etchen guns where known to do great work.
There was a women at ATA shoots , iirc Nancy did stock finishing and checking
