Banning Russian made ammo from being imported into the US (which accounted for a 0.0X% of Russian GDP) and now this are BACK DOOR GUN CONTROL measures to make 'getting into' firearms, stocking up on ammo, or doing any real practice/training too expensive for more and more people.

Not floor sweepings per se, but government orders take priority. Only after they are filled can Winchester produce for the civilian market. Between retooling for the 6.8x51 hybrid and the shipments to Ukraine, they may have real capacity constraints. I trust news reports attributed to "a person with knowledge of the situation" not at all, especially since it would require a contract modification and Harris and the gang would love to trumpet such a move.

Be VERY careful with Norma 223. They're the MFR that had some major issues with ammo recently. Uncrimped cases, backwards primers, overset projectiles, and at least one AR blowing up because of overpressure. Most of that ammo was sold by AmmoShopOnline, but I'd still be careful.I just placed an order with Norma for their 223. Yeah I saw that. That ammo in question was US made bulk Norma 223 sold by ammo shop online in ammo cans
The stuff directly from Norma’s website says “Made in Germany, in close cooperation with RUAG’s Defense and Law enforcement division”
And it’s 30 round boxes.

I bought 4k of Lake City right after Covid when it was still less than $400 a case. Wish I bought a lot more.
