Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Placed an order this evening. .308 and 5.56. Also opted not to renew my Prime membership which expired a few months ago.

Anyone have a guess as to what would happen if you ordered just before 08/01 and the delivery was to occur after 08/01? Nuanced question, I know, but I want to watch inventory on some other calibers over the weekend and early next week.

In NH next week for a couple days anyway, so might just go to local shops and to Sig.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the order and processing date is what counts. Safe play is the delivery date, luckily they do ship pretty fast.

This new bill has me seriously considering dual residency, unfortunately straight up leaving isn't an option in the near future.

How would TSUSA (and others) view it if your billing address is in MA but your shipping address is in NH? MA might still be your primary residence in their eyes.

I don’t know the answer to that question - just playing devil’s advocate.

You mean like when you send a gift [wink]

Hopefully, other escapees who can order from other vendors will have the same thought I had and hold off on purchasing from TSUSA to hopefully leave a few more cases/boxes available for MA shooters who don't have another mail order choice.
You do know there are other mail order outfits available to us right?

Can you get a credit card with your out of state billing address?

you need the billing address of the CC you use to match the shipping address

Get a PO Box in NH and use that as a billing address. Use prepaid debit/gift cards.

Not true in general. It depends on the merchant, payment processor etc. Maybe TSUSA has that policy.

Many times I have bought stuff and shipped to another address, especially at the holidays. I have bought fishing equipment and had it shipped straight to my Uncle's place on the lake in NH etc .

Yeah but how many of them actually carry the wide variety (and many rare calibers) that TSUSA has as well as have some of the best prices around (with Prime+). How many of them will ship same day and you have it to your door the following day (free with Prime+)? And how many of these will still ship to MA once SHTF here with the new BS unconstitutional gun laws?

I’m gonna stock up on the hard to find stuff that most LGS’s don’t carry around me just in case.

Serious question. Is there language in the bill that would actually impact TSUSA or other online retailers or are we just speculating based on the language that applies to in-state licensed dealers?
I was wondering the same thing. I didn't think the bill would impact ordering ammo online. Unless I completely missed that area/text.

It's less the online order, and more the shipping. UPS/FedEx would need to comply with the ammo storage requirements, I think.

IIRC, the law says that Licensees need to conduct transactions in person, but TSUSA isn't a MA-licensed vendor.

\/\/ Ah, good to know. In that case, the online order couldn't proceed. Bunch of bullshit.

we are always speculating its what we do [rofl]

Yes we seem to do that for sure.

I called TSUSA this morning and asked:

1. Their lawyers are reviewing the new law and they will put out a notice if/when it goes into effect. For now it’s business as usual.

2. If it goes into effect ammunition will likely have to be shipped to an FFL. I asked about a C&R and they said that it would count.

so... Get your C&R?, is that a no-brainer, or will it just attract more attention?
