I can't even find 12mm Gyrojet ammo at ANY price. And the last ime I found some was 5 years ago and it cost me $8.50 a round.

Very high, but find another commercial 215 grain hunting load anywhere.
Cheaper than a new gun, IMHO.

Actually . . . $6 each. $30 for a box of 5. Still a good bit cheaper than .700 Nitro Express at $50 each, although I suppose you could get the same result with .600 Nitro Express at a piddling $36 each. I suppose either one is chump change to those who can afford the double rifles that shoot them.
