Tinnitus, hearing aids, any cure ?

Then again, anyone I knew and know who spent any time in a UH-1 Huey is either deaf or pretends not to be.

I was Field Artillery in an Armor unit. I'm not deaf (amazingly), but I pretend to be. When people start talking without establishing a comms channel first, I walk away like I didn't hear them. The white hair helps me get away with it.

I guess I’m fortunate because my Tinnitus sounds like “white noise”

The complete hearing loss in one ear really sucks though.

The hearing aids the VA gave me didn’t help with either.

My grandmother was as deaf as a haddock, wore hearing aids, but never changed the batteries, as a consequence, my grandfather used to roar like a bull moose. My grandmother confided to my little sister that, "She never bothered buying batteries, I just don't see the point".
