To The Guy At Westwood with the AR10, NF scope, Loud AF Brake and TSUSA Ammo Box

Former Westwood member with an Ar10, PA DMR 308 4 to 16x scope, Rifle Speed adjustable gas black and surefire muzzle brake here...qualified for the 300 yard range with a single dead center shot...so at least it's not me Broc is not talking about.

Even at 100 yards was a f***ing cake walk with a lpvo with 556 and even easier with 308 and a hpvo.

I was at a range last year and a guy sits down at a bench about 20 ft from me. Has an ultalight Rem 3006 doing a ladder test with 220 gr brush busters... Im already dyin from laughter. He shot the first one and about got spun off his chair, going to shoot three shot groups. I tried to take a picture of him shooting but I was laughing so hard and tryin to be quiet that all photos were blurry. Nothing grouped good enough for Danl Boone and rifle heated up quick. Entire rifle with scope was at about 5 lbs.. His shoulder was black blue green and yellow.. Havent seen him back shootin for past year

... getting 2.5 to 3" groups at 50 yards for the past hour.

And throw that brake away.

I have watched you adjust your scope 17 times. It is not the scope.
Boy oh boy, can’t wait till I shoot my Aero m5 for the first time, 10 shots and then turn to the guy next to me and say, “Huck Tuah ?”

I have a lightweight 7mm Mag that my boys and I named "Ouch". Chuck Norris won't even shoot it more than 5 rounds.
[laugh]

You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the NES Wrist Breakers Club.
I'm on meds for the reason mentioned at the Eagle Brook. Until I'm off them I bruise fairly easily and because all the stupid stuff I'm constantly doing I'm getting quite the collection of bruises. The 7mm is a definite nope for a while.

Now that I think of it, the 7mm needs a brake so I can share the pain with others. [smile]

I'll bring a 44 mag and a doctor's note to the club meeting.

Many years ago, I was at hte range. The guy at the next bay had a FAL of some variant. I hate those things. I bought one once. What a mistake.

He's got his target set at 25 yds max. He may or may not have had a scope on it. But from the bench. Short-short range. One shot every few seconds. No rush.

After a bit, we go cold and he grabs his target. Comes up to me to show off. 10-25yds. He's got a grouping around 5". I'm not a GREAT shot for groups, but damn. That might not be minute-of-buffalo at 100yds, dude. He was proud as can be with his performance. I suspect he didn't know A)how to shoot and B) what accuracy - even out of a FrankenFAL - could be had.

I'm confused. Why on earth would you do a ladder test on a hunting rifle?
Do people dial for distance while hunting these days? I guess maybe out west.

Either way, he could have put it on a .223 and done a ladder test on the scope than mounted it on his beast.

I have a Browning A-Bolt Micro in 308. The gun weighs 6.8 lbs with a scope on it. Recoil is . . . vigorous.
It's good for 2-3 shots before the point of impact starts to move because the barrel is heating up. With a hunting rifle, you always want your zero to be on the cold bore. So it took a while to zero it. I'm not messing with the turrets. Ha.

No one likes the annoying dude at the range telling others how to shoot.

So I will help him, if he asks.
I tried to help out a friend of a friend who just bought a new light weight 30-06 hunting rifle.
He just mounted the scope without setting the eye relief & his eye was 1/2 inch off the scope.
I told him he was gonna hurt himself but he said he was ‘in the military’ and knew what he was doing.
He split his face open on the second shot. Blood everywhere!
To top it off he was pissed at me for laughing
I guess I was the annoying dude at the range.
