Walmart out of the Ammo business?

Sometimes some WalMart exec forgets to renew that specific stores license to sell ammo.

When that happens, they pull all the ammo off the shelves until the license is renewed by whoever renews it...Seen this happen a few times over the years at diff WalMarts and it always causes a pantshitting panic here lol

Pick up the phone in that area, dial #4444 and make a store-wide announcement.
Eat lots of beans. Go to local Walmart. Head for the book section- there are no cameras there as the typical clientele is not interested in books. When you feel nature calls- find nearest wall phone and dial #4444- bring handset to ass and let everybody know how you feel about the store. Put handset onto the receiver and pretend nothing happened.

Haven't bought ammo at Walmart since they dropped the handgun calibers. .22 I can get a better deal online and get exactly what I want (Aguila Interceptor and .22 Short) and not be stuck with the limited options at a brick and mortar store. The only advantage Walmart had for me was if I wanted to shoot something I don't reload or didn't have the time to do any. Of course that was limiting as well, usually all they had was Winchester or Federal, only 115gr 9, 130gr FMJ or 158gr LRN .38, if they had 10mm it was the the weak Federal shit, .25 and .32 was double the price I could get it online because, again, Winchester brand.

The only benefit to getting ammo at Walmart now is .17 HMR and .22 Mag, tho I haven't checked the price on that, just figure it's going to be less than anywhere else locally.

They are trying to shut down all the stores. Next, will be the big door slam when they shut down mail order. Then, it's over, because that will include reloading stuff also.

NES crybabies' mantra-

F Walmart, F the online retailers who want LTC info to ship to MA, F the LGS with high prices, F the NH LGS that wants to see your LTC...

I'd keep going but that would start the TLDR crying.

(For the record, I'm a platinum member of the crybaby club)
[rofl]

9/40/45?

Walmart has not sold that stuff for years now. I think they even stopped doing it before covid now that I think of it there was a thread here where basically members were cleaning out the last of the Walmart normal people ammo during the trump slump. @DW357 had some reports.

223 sure... in 20rd boxes, id believe that.... yes.

I think the only bulks left that people told me were worth buying there are the 12 / 20 gauge (well, kinda) and maybe 22LR boxes.
Yup. Wiped them out off 5.56, 7.62x39 and 38 spl. I think all of those calibers were 15 cents per round.

I got carded for white spray paint. I do not look like i huff paint. But I did give them a lecture about how the metallics are the best to huff and how I would have not gotten white
I did something similar with buying Sudafed or its generic equivalent at a Target one day. I told them I was short and needed one more box to finish making a batch of meth. The register ASSociate was clueless!

I miss the prices of 9mm though.
TS and other online vendors offer better ammo at similar market lows. Of course I see where you're coming from, many of the retail shops in FL are completely terrible so if you just want a few boxes its annoying....

I miss the ZQI ammo. 30 rounds for the price of 20, and they had some zing to 'em as well.
Even if Walmart hadn't fagged out ZQI told them to f*** off and didn't renew their walmart contract. probably because they were getting squeezed too hard. That stuff was never coming back. 🤣 Walmart tends to be pretty oppressive to vendors.... i hate mids but honestly at this point id rather have online retailers and mids having access to that capacity. The quality of the ammo goes up instead of getting stuff that's been "trashed out for walmart." 🤣

I can't buy ammo at stores here. Most of it's super crazy. I have a few times but it's a handful since I moved here.

I buy most of my ammo from aimsurplus.com.

They pulled ammo from the Hadley store for a bit a while back.... incoming manager didn't have the proper licensing to take custody of the stock so it couldn't be sold. Once licensed ammo was back out.

I know a guy who bought 3 pallets of AR, handgun, and AK ammo when it was on clearance the day before they stopped selling some 4 years ago.

He made 10 trips in his truck to load up all the ammo.

It was all on clearance for 90% off.

After all day going back and fourth, he hit the Chicopee Walmart and cleaned them out too.

Spent $20,000 on his AMEX for $200,000 worth of ammo.

Last time I was at WM in Wareham the ammo cases were full, but the key guy had supposedly taken the key home by accident so... I wasn't able to buy anything. :/

Those cabinet locks are pretty cheesy, really easy to pick open, takes like 3 seconds.
It's really easy to carry one of these in your pocket and help yourself.

He must have had a close connection with someone at that store. I can’t imagine all Walmarts would willingly sell that volume of ammo to some random person but idk
