I have seen hundreds of dash cam and body cam videos and surveillance videos of Black men shooting people.
They can be very deadly but they generally don't have good gun handling or self defense skills.
There were 4,000 shootings in Chicago last year and I would venture that not s single one of those shooters took an advanced level shooting class. They probably are not NRA members who are educated or have military or police experience.
I doubt they are on forums arguing the finer points of 9mm vs. 40.
Despite accounting for only 14% of the U.S. population, Black people account for 60% of those killed by firearm homicide each year. The actual shooters are young Black men which are only 3% of the population.

According to data from the Sentencing Project, approximately one in five Black men born in 2001 are likely to be imprisoned at some point in their lifetime, representing a significantly higher rate compared to other racial groups; this means Black men are disproportionately represented within the criminal justice system.
Key points to remember:
High disparity:
Black men are significantly more likely to be incarcerated compared to white men.
Lifetime risk:
Studies estimate that around 20% of Black men will experience imprisonment during their lives.
A large portion of Black men are ineligible to even legally own guns therefore can not get top tier training.
Go to any gun club or IDPA match. It's mostly White men who have the wealth and time to participate in the hobby.
Much like to elite sports of skiing, competitive swimming, and cross country running for high schoolers and young adults - it's mostly White people who dominate these sports.
The gun owning and firearms training lifestyle is expensive and time consuming. A 3 day class costs $800 plus $1000 in ammo and you need to take all that time off from work.
It's just a fact that the majority of Blacks don't have the funds or desire to take advanced firearms courses.
So, I stand by the "stereotype" that most Blacks who shoot others are not highly skilled. If they had training in the judicial use of self defense law - they would likely never kill in cold blood in the first place.
If you are a Black man there are things you can do to buck this trend. You and your friends can join a club and take classes together.
You can also study books like this and take these classes...
