If the price stays where it is, it's deader than .40 bro. I do think there are some advantages to .21 Sharp over .22 LR, but they are not worth the cost.
The 22 long rifle has been in existance since 1887. If the 21 sharp isn't as cheap and available, it will never unseat the 22 long rifle as king of the rimfires. It will likely go the way of the 22WRF or even the 5mm.

I never would think it would unseat 22lr, but I thought it could become as common as 17HMR. Mostly for lead free hunting or competition. But I don’t think that will happen. Winchester did poorly.
