I have been thinking about high powered rifles for a while for longer target shooting and maybe some deer hunting with my brother at his place in Maine. Yesterday I came across one I could not pass on. It's a newer Winchester model 70 chambered in 7mm magnum. It has a synthetic stock, 26 in barrel and a Nikon Monarch 5-20x44 scope. I bought it from a friend who needed cash and gave me a great deal. It's very clean and he never fired it, the guy he got it from says he used on one hunting trip, I'm not familiar with 7mm ammo or the model 70 so any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks Here are a few pictures. IMG_0012.jpg IMG_0014.jpg IMG_0017.jpg

Model 70 Winchesters: the rifleman's rifle (or something like that). Nice.
7mm Mag is a lot of gun for both target shooting and deer. It will work, but not a ton of fun to shoot for extended periods.
