When it comes to revolvers, Taurus, Ruger, and Smith ain't the same as they use to be.FIFY
definitely not a gun for a womanUm, no. I had an NAA .32. Nasty little gun to shoot.

Beautiful and classic mid 20th century design. I had the cheaper Bersa Argentinian copy of the PPK for a while. Problem is these little blowback 380s kicked harder and had a nastier more jarring recoil impulse than a similar sized 9 in a more modern tilt barrel/recoil spring design. Sold it, why carry something that kicked more and had less juice?View attachment 945496
Great pistol
On par with a .38 snubby?Beautiful and classic mid 20th century design. I had the cheaper Bersa Argentinian copy of the PPK for a while. Lady/womenwhy is it not easy?
If your looking for something to conceal one of the small 380 semi’s might conceal better than a revolver ?Something on the small side.
Conceal to deep conceal.
I know nothing about revolvers besides I have a few old ones.
Thanks
They can be, but that doesn't make them easier or enjoyable to shoot in comparison. Part of the reason I've given up on them and gone to revolvers. If your looking for something to conceal one of the small 380 semi’s might conceal better than a revolver ?
Picking a gun around XYZ concealment can be a pita . Often you need to learn to conceal it
+1 for the 686+. My wife has one w/ a 6" barrel and loves it. 4" would be fine. She thinks full boat 357's are fun but I bet her opinion would change if she were to try such a load from some sort of airweight revolver.I'm not crazy about small revolvers. They hurt to shoot and you can't hit the side of a barn with them. I have a DAO Ruger 101 and model 60 3". My favorite gun though is the 4" 686+...
I've only been to one range that rented guns, and as I recall, there weren't many revolvers to choose from. All the same, I think the grip fit and balance would be important considerations.I would take the lady to a rental range and let them decide for themselves.
I have not been around revolvers that much, but real question:
Is a 3 Inch barrel 'that much' harder to conceal than a 2 inch? I know carrying semi autos, barrel length isn't normally the major factor in printing. It's the grip. Granted a 6 inch 1911 uber match would be a problem unless wearing a jacket, but IWB, barrel length really doesn't matter that much. I'm not even considering open carry, because I think that's dumb to start with (unless the only way you can carry).
Hell, it would probably have blown up on you, too. Buy another one.I regret selling mine. It was a gift from an ex… I didn’t have the stoicism to disassociate the item from the memory. Hence I parted with it…sad.
PPKs are horrid little guns. Not anything I would give to a new shooter. They’re making PPK’s in .32 now. Maybe one of those would work. Do they make a revolver in the new 30 super?

I really like mine. Just as, if not more accurate than my 938. It’s also been 100% so far. One of the new Ft. Smith ones.PPKs are horrid little guns. Not anything I would give to a new shooter.
I sold my P232 after receiving complaints from the family about recoil pain in the web of the hand, even with a Hogue grip on it. I even took a few new shooter female coworkers to the range to start them out slow and they said the same thing, I started out with a MK II and 10/22, then when they got comfortable, jumped up to the .380. They all liked the way it fit their hand but eventually complained of web pain after multiple consecutive magazines.Beautiful and classic mid 20th century design. Those things are beautiful and 'Bond' but yeah they do bite quite a bit. The Bersa clone wasn't terrible but that blowback recoil impulse is still just not a good choice given so many better 9mm plastic options now.I sold my P232 after receiving complaints from the family about recoil pain in the web of the hand, even with a Hogue grip on it.
