You're all invited this weekend!

My wife and I also stopped by today. WOW about sums it up. What a facility! I am glad I am member and am looking forward to shooting there. Jim gave us a tour of the range and showed us the targeting system in action, awesome set-up! Nice meeting you Jim.

Awesome place Jim and I hope my suggestion pans out for you. We wish you all the best with the new range.

Great seeing RichM again and meeting his Son, Edhead and Wife.

Here are some pictures from the new range. I had to reduce them for Hunt101 to take them, so I'm posting links below. Regrettably the videos (with the flashing lights) are much too big for Hunt101 to accept them, so for now I'm not posting them.

Went there today at 10AM,really nice setup..I will be back one of these weekends to shoot a 74SU..The first MG I will gladly pay money to fire.

Met Jim for the first time and bought a few rounds of 5.45 from him at a great price.

I have never shot indoors but from what I can tell, that is a state of the art indoor range.

I arrived today around 1pm. The place is incredible. I've never seen such a incredibly nice gun store anywhere. The selection is amazing. The range is amazing. The wall of MGs is amazing.

Jim, it was nice meeting you, thanks for showing me the range, and thanks for giving me permission to fondle that PKM. I gotta fire one of those bad larrys now!

Great place. Was there from 10:30 to 11 with my future wife. Saw plenty of little pistols that she liked and will want to try.
Sadly (maybe thankfully), we only walked out with some 223.

Will have to go up there now and then. Plus, I think I convinced my friend to join, he tends to go quite often.

It is a great place Jim.

Another vote for awesome. I took the drive up yesterday and checked the place out - sorry for drooling all over your gun cases guys! Bought some .223 at a good price (tax free [thumbsup])

Two questions:
1. Is that a Dillon mini gun?
2. Does it come with a mount for a Chrysler Town and Country?

Damn, sorry I missed meeting you . . . again. We got there ~10:45 and left there close to 12Noon.

Sorry, another person missed. I was the one wearing an Appleseed T-shirt.

1. IIRC, it is a GE mini-gun. I recall talking with Jim about it a year or so ago when I first saw it in the other store.

2. I like the way you think! [laugh]

Ahh. GE: Bringing good things to life. [wink]

Pretty much what I thought when I walked out. In-freaking-credible. Everyone should go check this place out. Only wish I lived closer.

I am really into the engineering of the whole place. Like how Jim said you could shoot 50bmg perpendicular to the exterior walls, and you would punch the first layer of protection, but still have many more layers. I also like that every aspect forward of the firing line is angled to create a continuous ricochet if someone messed up, and the bullet will still end up in the 1" slot at the end of the range.

Oh, and let's not forget the important things that will change a lot of people's minds about this range:
Those with rentals will be escorted to the range by a staff member and given further instruction for safety. In addition, there will be a staff member posted in the public half of the range. There are also 14 cameras (1 for each lane) that will be monitored.
I know range safety was a concern for many who had visited the old range. I think Jim has done a great job addressing many of the concerns that were present there with his new and improved setup.

I just posted the videos from the Open House. Shows the targets with blue/red flashing lights. Jim can also kill the white lights, so you get the total confusion/overload factor of police strobes on the range.

I wanted to go but with the weather being the way it is, and the sunroof on my car not wanting to close at the moment and the wipers on my ruck not working atm, I didn't want to risk running into a bunch of rain.[sad]

The videos I posted above need to be "clicked on" and they will take you to the Photobucket account where they reside.

The noise is the rushing of water in the trap.

Enjoy.

Beautiful place. Thanks for the tour! The bullet trap is awesome.

It's nice to step outside of Mass sometimes... And this was one of those times. You made a fantastic range and store. You'll make many new shooters, and I hope you'll make a fortune.

Thanks again.

Hey All, The new firing line is beyound anything you could imagine seeing in this part of the country. The quality you will find is in the same league as Bass Pro Shops and Cabella's. This place is top of the line everything. Even the bathrooms are something you would see in a fine hotel. Women will imediately feel at home in this clean, safe, and totaly state of the art facility. If your into renting or buying guns that go zoom or your just looking to shoot old faithful this is by far the best place you will find. I've been into firearms since 1978 and firmly believe you just can't have enough guns. Well once you visit the new MFLR you to will feel like a kid in a candy store if your anything like me.

Jim- Thanks for hosting the open house and it was nice to meet you. My wife and I were both very impressed.

Everyone else- the new place is awesome and definitely worth checking out.

I was impressed! I wish I could get my garage floors to look like the floors in that range.

Good meeting you Derek!

We made the 2 hour trek this morning and got there at about 11, and stayed till around 12:30. The tour was great, my 3 year old daughter has been talking about the waterfall all night, and even explained to my parents how it works after you fire. She says we need the GE for the backyard. I agree. My 18mo loved the displays too. The shop is incredible - bright, open and I could stare at the wall displays for hours; we loved it and my oldest is started asking technical questions and using proper terms. [smile] Thanks. Definitely worth the drive (bought some 223 too).

And we went to the Ribfest after, and it was great. A day of ammo, meat and beer- just about perfect. We're definitely doing it again, and considering looking to move somewhere near there.

Wish I could have made this. I still plan to get up there sometime soon to check it out.

Will the store be open next weekend? Wouldnt mind a fathers day present to myself being a case of ammo!

The range should be open tomorrow pending Fire Dept. approval according to Jim so I'd imagine everything will be running full speed ahead this weekend :)
