I am trying to figure out come ups from 100 to 200 and 300 yds for .223 55gr FMJ... Will be reloading Sierra 69 and 77gr HPBTs soon, but only have the 55gr for now.

I am 4 up and 3 right on my AR-15 sights for zero at 100yds. I have tried coming up 2 minutes (1/2moa = 4clicks) but the zero doesn't seem to be as tight as at 100yds... I understand that the AR-15 1 in 7 bbl is good to 1.5moa...

Any suggestions for better sighting in at 200 and 300yds...

2 MOA from 100 to 200.

3 MOA from 200 to 300.

This will get you close and you can adjust from there to get your actual zero. Your group problem could be ammo or your position / hold.

Starting out, you'll see some drastic group sizes the further you go out. Practice, Practice, Practice and they will tighten up quite a bit.

Practice is good but you must consider practicing good positioning even more. Knowing your MOA won't help unless you are aligning your body, watching your breathing, trigger finger, follow through, and the further you are out the more wind plays a tremendous role.
