$200 is probably what Remington got for the rifles when they sold them in the 1st place.
Exactly. I know it sucks to lose money on it, but why would Remington give you back the profit the shop that sold it made? If they sell them to shops for $200, they are only going to give you $200. I have also read on another site that Remington will rebarrel the 597 in .22WMR instead of the voucher. A few people also mentioned that in the comments after the article in the link. And to think I almost bought one too! Thank god I got a bolt gun.
