Kid didn't steal, or straw purchase, or any other crap you are inventing. Friend in Wisconsin let him borrow it so he could protect himself while rendering aid to these same protesters that tried to disarm and kill him. Kid did not break any laws. May have made a bad choice about being a good kid and trying to help the people in HIS community. He worked there! His protection options are limited due to his age. Can't conceal, can't have a handgun. Can have a semi-auto rifle at 16. Only protection option available to him.

As for Mas, i wont disparage the guy. He has much more experience than me and a lot of what he says is good advice. But things dont always turn out perfect. Maybe, somewhere in this kids 17 years of life, he missed the opportunity to take an Ayoob class. That is not a reason to hang him.

Let me know when you post your guns for sale as it appears you are strongly against the idea of someone using a firearm to defend their life. I am assuming you refuse to carry as well because that would put you at risk for being imprisoned or spending money on lawyers. Death is clearly the better option according to you.

The kid is not the one "out of control" as you put it. The BLM/Antifa thugs that were burning people out of their businesses and homes, assaulting and looting, those are the ones out of control. He did not fire his weapon until he was fired upon first or was in imminent danger.

Taking age out of it, if Rittenhouse was say, a 22 year old soldier home on leave or an off duty police officer and the same thing happened to him, would you feel the same way? If someone was going to beat your brains out with a skateboard, there was shooting and someone was running at you with a gun, would your defending yourself be justified?
 
The bottom line is Rittenhouse followed all protocols for self defense and in my mind it was a good shoot and the kid acted extremely well under extreme duress, 2 shots and 2 targets incapacitated without any rounds hitting someone else or property. You can’t do much better than he did unless you dropped the bicep guy on the pavement which is tragic he didn’t. I understand .308’s point about the kid not needing to be there and it probably not being worth it since he is sitting in a cell block right now instead of smashing girls his age in the backseat of his car. The fact is that the kid went out of his way to be there, some will say it’s honerable while others will say he should have stayed home. Personally I admire the kid for trying to make a difference

You have made a big deal out of the crossing state line issue. In reality, the gun didn't cross and that charge has been dropped. Also consider that communities exist on top of state borders. That seems to be the case for KR- he didn't trek in from far away like the riot agitators did.
