17-year-old arrested in killing of 2 people in Kenosha

Not having heard the words spoken by him I can only suggest that maybe either he misspoke and got hung up using the wrong term, or he was misquoted.

As far as definitions go, homicide does not leave any ambiguity. There are other charges that contain the word homicide, such as vehicular homicide, but homicide in itself is not a crime. The crime would be the action that resulted in the homicide.

In the other thread, Baldwin, I link to the opinion article by Dershowitz. It is sloppy writing to his fan base. I know he knows the difference for I have heard him eloquently define it.

Much of what is coming out in trial I already knew from watching all the videos when this happened, though it’s some of the stuff that is not coming out that’s interesting.

For example, if you watched the video you’ll see what appears to be several muzzle flashes coming from behind Kyle (someone shooting at Kyle) after Rosenbaum committed suicide.
He was identified and arrested. Fired pistol before Rittenhouse fired.

I'm not saying 12 people will find him not guilty but I have a hard time believing that all 12 people on that jury will find him guilty. All you need is one person to hold out for a hung jury and all you need is a few to convince the others to acquit. Given the Judge's rulings so far and what we saw during jury selection, I'd be amazed if all 12 of those jurors find him guilty.

This trial is nothing like Derek Chauvin, who I firmly believe is probably a complete a**hole in real life but certainly wasn't a blood thirsty killer. These Soros prosecutors like to weave intricate tapestries to make a specific version of a story but it only take a little tug on the string to have it all unravel.

By the way did anyone catch the woman who was in the jury selection who commented about the rioters and the violence and then the judge quizzically asked her, so what did you do? She says "I went out and bought a gun".

"FBI testified in private that there is 2nd version of the surveillance tape in HD that it did not provide the defense, per courtroom member"
"The defense had requested a copy of the HD tape The FBI responded the HD tape no longer exists"

Once again, the mysterious disappearing evidence that was under the safekeeping of government agents.
When that happens, it should be an automatic acquittal. Unless it is potential evidence against a government agent, then it should be considered as evidence of wrongdoing unless there is other real exculpatory evidence. … in a better, less corrupt world.

The discussion of the difference between homicide and murder made that relevant here.
(As is now obvious),
I wasn't firing on all cylinders,
didn't realize that,
and lashed out.

I’m trying to count the raised fingers, but I can’t quite make it out.
(Ok, last off topic post for me lol)
It would inflame the situation for me to relate
the sly version we learned in the college computer center.

In any case, throwing caution to the winds, there is a pro-tip
that it took me all this time to realize might help.

Faced with the desire to get eboos to comment in public
about that article being discussed over in the Baldwin thread
(of course a perfectly reasonable goal),
a technical solution to get him to comment over there (if desired) is...
  1. In the Baldwin thread...
  2. ..."↖️Reply" to mkm's post that linked the Daily Wire article quoting Dershowitz...
  3. ...(leaving inside the auto-quoted excerpt of that post at least the URL markup containing the link - and possibly nothing else)...
  4. ...and then below the quoted excerpt, write "Hey <atsign>eboos, what do you think is going on here with Dershowitz? Was he misquoted, or going senile, or am I missing something?"
The <atsign> is supposed to be a real @.

The <atsign>eboos will trigger an alert to him that
you've name-dropped him over in the Baldwin thread.
(He's written there twice already, but long before the Daily Wire post).
Anyhow, he'd be trolled to respond in-context.
If that was the right place.

Hope this helps some time.

Lol thanks Dr Turing but I think I’ll keep doing it my way. I’m old.

Why is Foxnews ignoring this trial?
Because its viewer base is mostly tone deaf to things like this and doesn't care. Self Defense is a civil rights thing in a way. Most generic conservotards can't identify with something like that because they have this puritanical myth that they will never have to shoot somebody "cuz they don't get inna dat kinda trubble" without realizing that they could easily be Kyle Rittenhouse if circumstances were slightly different. If this had been a 90 yr old guy and his wife shooting 3 armed thugs trying to loot their store in kenosha my belief is Faux would have reluctantly covered more of it.

Gonna disagree on this one. I think the viewer base does care, but this topic is a Faux hot potato along the lines of Gingrich throwing shade on Soros.

If the defense thought there was the slightest chance of making hay,
they'll have raised an objection on the record.

Don't know/jus' sayin'.

I mostly hadn't even considered that.

Maybe they're working 24x7 to preposition on-the-street reporting resources
to cover the Antifa tantrum if the court does give Kyle a kiss.[kiss]

To recap, the Fox News audience is the product,
delivered to the advertisers (the customers) in exchange for money.
And if the customer is always right...

Well, not /enough/ care, because if they did they'd stop watching. Like they cared about Trump enough at least that faux shitting on trump before he became pres had to stop because the viewers reacting negatively to it...... I do, however, also agree with the hot potato thing. though. The deep staters that run MSM don't like people defending themselves. Faux also really never likes covering things like groups of armed black white and asian dudes working together to protect properties from BLM and antifa. They couldn't dare allow MSM to admit that most people are not racist. That was something i noticed a lot on seconday social media sources not covered very well in the news. Or for that matter, the frequent destruction of minority owned businesses by BLM/antifa fags.

I agree, and I am willing to accept the system failing open even if it means a few shitbags might take advantage, so be it. The "house" still has way too many advantages over the average citizen, whether it's a criminal or someone defending themselves. People will be like "but dewd more criminuls will walk" waaaay more criminals walk in the US because of politically motivated shitbag prosecutors/DAs than legal civil rights protections in court.....

I think he’s acquitted on all charges except maybe the ones for him buying the rifle through his friend and possession of it that night. He was only 17 at the time
Prosecution realizes they are FUBAR, offers a plea deal on that and the other misdemeanor, settles for forfeiture of the $2MM in bail funds and time served.
"Other misdemeanor"?

Andrew Branca sez in Rittenhouse Trial: What to Expect As Trial Starts Tomorrow:
Overview of the Events & Charges
that the max charges on each of the six counts are:
  1. 65 years,
  2. 17 years,
  3. Life+5 years,
  4. 65 years,
  5. 17 years, and
  6. 9 months.

BTW, a conviction on any charge except #6
("Unlawful Weapon Possession by Minor")
makes Kyle an FPP.

There is even a High-Definition version that the FBI has 'lost'.

As much as I hate what they did, I would never use the .gov as a weapon.

Some of this was shown in the Defense open and the Prosecutor went apeshit and objected due to 'presenting his defense'.

Of course the f***ing FBI has drone footage that further exonerates Kyle.

The FBI needs to be dismantled.

Isn't the argument that Kyle brought a weapon to the protest rather than being an innocent passerby that was protecting himself ?

Personally I think there should have been groups of people protecting businesses and homes because the police certainly werent helping, but that is besides the point...

The point is to ensure that in the future there won't be "groups of people protecting businesses and homes" because those homeowners friends fear a ride on the rittenhouse railroad.

I believe part of the defense is that the local cops were going out of their way to thank people like Rittenhouse.

Yeah BlackLivesMatter is going to be justifiably enraged because a white dude is acquitted of shooting three other white dudes.

I.e., the guys with the BLM lawn signs.
