I was thinking if we had enough people on the forums that have 2 Meter SSB we could try calling out and see who we can get. Does anyone want to try this?

Good idea. I'm in.
We should think about an HF net too. Pick a time each week for a local ragchew.
I think 40 would work; I'm in after deer season.Yeah that should work... This way when the winter comes we will have something to pass the time. I just got into HF in June so I would guess that 40M would be the best for that?
I'd try the 2m SSB...
Are we working 2 meter SSB tonight? Or HF or 2 meter simplex?
IN!
10pm works good, and I can do whatever band or mode we pick.
BTW, why 2M SSB? Is there a distance advantage over FM? Or is it just so much less popular that there would be more privacy for SHTF?
Most defenitely IN.2m SSB can have a much greater efficiency with distance.
Most defenitely IN.
I'm pretty sure the guys doing Dx with VHF/UHF turn their antennas sideways for horizontal polarization. I assume we'll be using our vertical repeater antennas though.
