You seem to have a lot of questions about MA gun law specifics.

Maybe call your local police department or MSP and ask them, instead of getting repeatedly trolled here.
You're kidding, right? They don't know and they won't answer.

The reality is that nobody knows. Nobody's ever been arrested with them and its never been adjudicated so its all just speculation.

Reasonable speculation is that if its easily removed, then its probably not legal and if its permanent or semi permanent then probably so.

I've pointed out that some factory smith and Wesson mags for the M&P15/22 can be reconfigured from 10 rounds to 30 rounds with no tools and in a time of about 1 minute. So the bar would seem to be pretty low for doing it better than a gun manufacturer. But it's ALL SPECULATION. Because its never been tested in court. There is no case law around this.
