ATF E-Forms Submission wait time

How do you figure out the lengths without actually building the rifle? There are alot of variables there.

For an AR, it's pretty simple: Choose what your SBRs barrel length will be. Measure an existing AR's overall length. Subtract the difference in barrel length, taking into account any permanently attached comps, and subtract any difference in stock length.

Also keep in mind that the description (caliber, barrel length, overall length) can be easily changed by sending a notice to the ATF. If your lengths wind up being a bit off once it's actually built, you can just send in a notice with the corrections.

I dont believe you have to tell the ATF legally, it's recommended if u change it permanently like changing out the barrel, but nothing needs to be said when u have different size uppers. You also can legally have any size barreled upper or caliber upper.

Really, so does that mean they are null and void, do I need to call my examiner? ?

No, they're already sending me correct versions of the PDF's without the watermark an hour later. You can either give them a ring or I can share the email address of the Eforms point of contact I have that "gets things done".

Ok great, if you could Pm me the email it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah don't worry, your stamp is paid, the units are on file, and valid. I'm just having them process some Adobe cosmetic issues on their form to remove the watermarks.
They sent me fixed ones within 30min to an hour. I'll send you a message.

i was freaking in shock when i just got the email. Im like 2 weeks really...no it cant be. but dam there it was.

Looking at the NFATracker.com trend graph, there are a lot of recent e-filed forms getting approved inside of 2 months recently.

So I've done a SBR'd AR15... what else could I make in MA that'd either be useful and/or fun?

thats what im doing...well with the crippled mag

So after some suggestions and some looking, a Krink SBR might be rather cost prohibitive. In a free state, the most cost effective way of getting that would seem to be to start with a Yugo M92 pistol, do the NFA paperwork, then add a stock.

If anybody can think of a wallhack to get that done legally in MA, would you shoot me a PM?

Probably doing it wrong already because I'd probably do 7.62 since I have stuff in that already, vs nothing in 5.45.

Kit build is going to be tough just for logistics locating all the parts. Probably easier to troll GB for one already built, and file form1 to take off extension.
