Beretta 92 grip screws - Help please.

Does anybody know the screw size and thread pitch for the grip screws used on a Beretta 92 series. English? Metric? Correct pitch? I have one that needs to be cleaned up with a tap and can't seem to find the info. Thanks!

If you want to be certain and check it yourself, take one of the grip screws to a hardware store that has a good selection of fasteners. Most of them will have
a display board with various size nuts and bolts for the purpose of checking thread sizes.

The frame is aluminum. The anodizing protects the aluminum and makes it harder. I am not sure how that effects the performance of the threading for grip screws but that could be a factor in doing anything.
