Boycott Sportsman's Guide

Thanks for the neg point Mark L. It's ok for some to assert their 1st amendment rights but not for all I guess. My opinion removed for sake of reputation.

That was a totally stupid reply...he was asserting his 1st amendment rights to your reply..grow up..You post your thoughts you take your lumps Mark L.

uh...folks, winter's coming. Are you going to pay for home delivery of the Globe so you have kindling or are you going to use the monthly kindling stipend that SG sends you?

Sportsman Guide, Boycott

I've been trying to get people in this state to snub them for a long time!! I've seen Garand slings restricted plus military boots( why?? because of having steel toes, give me a break!!), field first aid kit( why?? because it had a scalpel, gee!! imagine ever really needing a very sharp edge for a temporary medical procedure in the field and nothing is there because some pencil neck lawyer thought we'd wreck havoc on the field if a scalpel was present, good grief!!, sights front and rear, night vision scopes, forget about anything with a sharp edge knives, hatchets, axes, etc; how about a knife fork spoon combo set,no way, and on and on we go! They're up to 52 restrictions and are running out of room,we're the only ones who can change that, I talked to some guy named Ralph, after I told him we all know about their problem from years back he said I was wrong it's because of homeland security!! Yeh sure and I know of a bridge in Brooklyn for sale!! Joe L.

Nothing like an AG who breaks the law, or in this case goes further than the law requires to "protect" citizens. Isn't this what the liberals complain about regarding the Bush Administration? Love that dirty water!

I don't think the AG is breaking the law...I think the Mass GCA of 1998 gives the AG arbitrary power to declare whatever regulation they want pertaining to handguns. If they wake up tomorrow morning and decide they must all have GPS tracking devices with biometric finger scanners, 35 pound trigger pull, manual safety, double action only, two inch travel, 12 inch barrel, weight more than 100 oz and microstamping devices, I think that is probably in their power. Hey, the voters vote for these people. Deval did win by a landslide.

Besides, you can't argue with the AG's logic. If you have strong enough regulations to make a gun essentially unshootable, wouldn't that prevent accidental discharges? I mean, at some point, the regulations are so onerous that no gun capable of actually discharging anything can be sold. Voila! Accidental and unsafe discharge problem solved!

I just blame the people of Massachusetts, which is why I'm moving out as soon as possible. In 50 years there will be nothing but red blooded communists left in Massachusettes, where they can all live and be happy together---just like how the homosexuals move to VT or MA to get married and be happy, all the moderates and gun owners will continue to leave MA. Hey, whatever floats your boat.

Man. I wish, I read this post before I placed an order with them.[angry]

They told me that the delrin punch for an AR15 is a restricted item, because it is an "accessory for an assault weapon". Yet within their web site & catalog, the AR15 handguard removal tool is not restricted. Are they a bunch of F*ing idiots or what!!![rofl]

I haven't bought anything from them in years and I have no plans to ever try again.

Years ago, maybe 20 years ago I bought ammo from them.
Still have some of it stored away. Hanson (IMI) 30-06, beautiful Venezuelan .308 surp.,12 ga. buck and slugs, IMI 9mm, .22 ammo by the case. etc.
Their prices were always good.
Since they caved to the AG, Ive given up on them.
I wouldnt buy a roll of camo toilet paper from this company now.
I have asked them numerous times to lose my address and still continue to get their catalogs.
I may give them a call today and tell them once again I dont want their trash in my mail box and let them know that I will be ordering from their competitor, who actually has some common sense and a spine.

Twenty years ago we moved here from PA.
I had been a somewhat liberal Democrat my entire life.
The first Presidential election I could vote in was 1972 amd I voted for McGover by absentee ballot from lovely Na Trang, RVN. I watched as the DNC moved farther and farther Left every year untill finally I looked at Al Gore and decided I could no longer support a bunch of Closet Socialists.
Mass has led the Leftward march of the once honorable Democrat Party until today it's platform mirrors that of the 1947 American Communist Party.
Look at every piece of Legislation that has led to the deterioration of American society and culture since the 1960s and you will find teh fingerprints of Mass Politicians, especially the well known Lady killer 'Swimmer Ted', all over them.
Now my kids are graduating school and they want college out of State so my hous eis on the market and I am escaping.

I will be doing the same.
One son has completed college and is on his own, the next is a senior in high school and the youngest is a sophomore.
That gives us three years before we get the f^&k out of Dodge, as they say.
I am already searching the RE ads.
We are going to be gone so fast there is going to be a sonic boom and I am encouraging my kids to do the same.

This state can decide what to do with the 10-12 employees I have that wont have a job anymore, the loss of tax revenue etc.
Then again, I dont think they really give a damn.
I really do hope that the door hits us in the ass as we are on our way out.
It will just give us a shove and get us out of here that much faster.

Just got a shipment of little odds and ends from Midway. Arrived 2 days after placing my order.

The order included an EVIL .223 chamber brush.

If any of you have noticed the bullet clock on the wall at Zero Hour and always wanted one. Sportsman's Guide actually has them now.

I swore I'd never order from them again, but no one else had this clock. I think I remember someone telling me it was once sold by Norinco.

No matter, I got mine yesterday for under $20 and it holds 60 rounds of .30 cal ammo. [smile]

OMG, how could they ever sell such a dangerous item into MA!! [pot]

Wait until the AG finds out and nails them . . . it's for the children, doncha know! [rolleyes] [wink]

It'll look much better once I get some Chinese ammo in the holders but for now this will do:
