Canobie Lake military discount

So every year I take the kids to Canobie Lake.

It occurs to me the other day that I should see if they have a military discount. I am still in the MA NG.

I call, talk to a woman who says they do indeed offer a military discount.

It is whopping $4 on a weekday, $2 on a weekend. Wow.

Their AAA discount is $5.

So, more of a discount if you are in the AAA than if you are serving your country.

By way of contrast, Southwicks Animal Farm offers free admission to anyone with a military ID.

I honestly found this Canobie Lake 'discount' insulting.

Am I off base?

Next to a lot of Amusement Parks,Canobie Lake is inexpensive to begin with.Plus it's clean and family oriented.

I am not arguing those points.

My point is that the AAA discount is greater than the military discount. That doesn't seem right to me.

Neither does the fact that the owner of the park drives around town in his Lambo, Rolls Royce, Bentley, etc., while most of the park's employees struggle to get by on minimum wage, but it still happens.

it's better than nothing. but yeah, it kinda blows.

try to buy your tickets through MWR if you live near a base. -you are guaranteed the lowest price possible when you do.

i.e. $10 off w / a coke can to Six Flags vs. buy one get one free through MWR.

Don't forget that Lowes offer a 10% discount on all purchases made with a valid mil. ID.
