I just wanted to pass on my experience with Carbon Creations grips and their customer service. I had an older pair of their black double diamond 1911 grips, and recently installed them on my new Detonics full-size 1911. Once they were on the pistol, I realized the resin had yellowed somewhat, and I emailed John at Carbon Creations to ask if that was normal. He replied quickly that it certainly wasn't normal, and asked that I return them for a replacement. I mailed them last Friday, he received them on Monday, and the new ones arrived today.
I knew that Carbon Creations offered an excellent warranty, but I really didn't expect a replacement for what was a purely cosmetic issue. The grips had stood up flawlessly otherwise. John makes an excellent set of grips, and now that I've experienced his customer service firsthand, I'll be buying more of his grips in the near future.
BTW, if you're thinking about his grips but want something in a different color, go to the website and request a free catalog. John makes grips in a full range of colors, not just the four advertised on the website.
