So, I am trying to identify a carry gun in Ma based on the following criteria:

Trigger doesn't require paying someone to fix
Can conceal all year round with minor modifications to clothing only
Caliber that you feel is sufficient to defend yourself
Track record of reliability
Under 24oz. loaded

Appreciate the help.

If I couldn't have a Glock I'd go with a Kahr CM9. The PM9 is a stellar gun but overpriced IMO. If you don't like older Glocks then buy a shiny new one from a fellow NESer![smile]

Everything can be found though private seller for some. If they will sell it you can buy it.

Sig P938 because I like SA and not those DA plastic guns.

Philly,

Most of the guys here have tried a variety of gun/holster combinations over time. You'll get a lot of good advice, but also a lot of personal preference.

Over the years, I've carried: Sig 239, S&W J frame revolver, Ruger LCP, Glock 19, and Glock 30. With the right holster & clothing, weight and concealment aren't a problem. My preference of late is a Glock because it's such an easy gun to shoot.

If you can meet up with someone to try out a few different guns and holsters, you should do that before buying something.

I recently bought the Bodyguard for my wife it's .380, I figured with the built in laser no matter how frazzled she is in the event she needs to use it, her confidence regarding her aim can be exemplified by the red dot on her target. That is, as long as she is mindful enough to push one of the ambidextrous laser activation buttons. I have it loaded wit PDXI rounds w an extra magazine for her. Now, that being said.... It has found it's way into my pocket for the last few weeks and I rather like the piece. Accidental for sure, because like you I was thinking bigger stronger rounds as I was carrying a Walther PK .380 waiting for a shield to pop up. In a nutshell it carries very nicely.
