Deals and steals

12 10oz is 8oz less and $3 less (without an account) than boats.net for a gal of sta-bil
True, but multiple bottles are awfully nice to leave in the places your equipment lives. One on the boat, one in the shed, one in the truck, etc.
Marine has more corrosion resistance additives. Also anecdotally better, less clogged carb jets per another thread here. Also it's blue!
You'd figure the blue stuff would be less popular. 👀

I go through almost one quart bottle of the Stabil Marine 360 per year, I end up buying a fresh bottle every fall to dose the 90 and 40 gallon boat tanks, a couple cars, some lawn equipment, etc. I could see where the smaller bottles are convenient, my concern would be what is the shelf life and would I use it up in time. The price difference is 52 cents per oz on those 8oz bottles or 59 cents per oz on the quart bottle.

MTM Divided Ammo Crate Utility Box - $14.40

Made in USA and lowest price ever.

[Amazon] MTM Divided Ammo Crate Utility Box - $14.40 (was $24.99)
Anyone have one of these? Im looking to throw a couple in the back of the truck for tools/rain gear/tarps/bungees/etc. The box that the bed cover rolls up in allows me a like ~7 3/8" height from the floor of the bed to the bottom of the box. MTM says the outside dimension of the crate is 7 1/2" high, so just about 1/8" too high.

-Are there any "feet" or "pads" on the bottom that I can grind down to gain enough to slide the crate under the box?
-Is it a true 7 1/2", or will i be able to finagle it into a 7 3/8" space?

I only just ordered but I had the same thought. At fin fur feathers the video shows it have feet to grind off so I took the risk.

Can you raise the box a little? Maybe shim it with some redwood/cedar clapboard strips.

I saw that but I think that those arent really solid feet, theyre concave on the inside so you'll just grind a hole through. May pick up a couple anyway

See that box hanging down at the end of the bed? Im trying to find something that will fit under there so I dont have a dead space and Im not using up more bed space than I have to

Just make something out of some scrap wood, or rough-sawn wood. Maybe put a few lights on the inside of the lid.
I thought of throwing something together or even one of those harbor freight rifle cases (too long) or one of those lightweight storage containers meant to store clothes or blankets under a bed (an actual bed, not a truck bed) but I like the gasket, even though the cover keeps out 99% of rain water.

I bought a couple. If they dont work out Ill use them to store tools in the basement or something.

That is the reason I went with a BAK roller cover, that damn box.

I have a bunch of these boxes, but I am not near them at the moment, I will be on Saturday and can measure.

You can also return them on Amazon, so for $14, might as well order one and see what happens.

They are very useful, even if they don't fit.

Here you go my brethren. Different size crate, but same company. If you grind these off, there would be a hole in the bottom of the box.

Thanks! That makes alot of sense based on what I've seen of the inside of the acdc30. I've got a use for mine still. I appreciate you doing that.

Looks like this wheeled big boy is decently reduced as well, albeit backordered a bit.

They wisely don't call this an ammo crate. Imagine how much this would weigh if it WERE loaded with ammo (not that it's capable of supporting that weight, mind you)?

Where did you order from? I think most of the Thorogood online dealers offer free returns/exchanges.
I got them on Amazon for the free returns. They came in yesterday and are really comfortable out of the box. I swapped the laces out for some plain brown waxed ones im not big on the yellow ones. But overall I'm happy with them. I replaced a three year old set of redwings that were well worn and starting to get uncomfortable even with superfeet insoles.

I did the same thing, ordered off Amazon for the free returns and swapped out the laces as I had bought a few pairs when I last got my Chippewa boots. So far I like mine.

This is usually ~$95. Currently $79. Not a huge savings but someone might be interested.

EZ GENERATOR SWITCH - The Original, Patented, UL/CSA Approved Manual Transfer Switch Amazon.com
So you need one of these per circuit, and you can only power one circuit per generator??? Maybe I am missing something here. 🤔

This is what I use, and I only need one of them.........

I just set up an interlock. That way I can pick and choose circuits as I need them:

I'm just looking for a basic disconnect/isolator , so I can feed my whole panel. Any ideas?

That would be perfect for my father in law. He just needs the boiler to work in the Winter, and the refrigerator in the Summer. One extension cord with a small generator takes care of his needs there. This $79 device would do EXACTLY all that is needed for him to operate in a power outage.
