Do braces count for awb?

This is somewhat academic because yes, the prosecution will use whichever definitions look the worst for you. I haven’t heard an attorney chime in either way on this either, that would be helpful.

It's slightly to do with the fact that it's adversarial. It's mostly a jurisdiction issue. In a MA court you're subject to MA law. That the legislators were lazy and said "this section is the same as that section on said date" is a cute bit of jailhouse lawyering to claim that it carries all reference definitions with it. But it doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

I'd also be curious to hear an attorney's opinion. I'd be surprised if it were offered in writing, on the internet, without a pile of disclaimers that start with "this is not legal advice, I am not your lawyer," ad nauseum.
