Having inquired a number of years ago about recall petitions to remove elected officials, I learned that MA has no enabling legislation to allow for a recall petition. Thus, Herr Healey can't be removed by creating a petition. She's there until she loses an election or more likely she moves on to higher office!

Can be done through a Citizen-Intiated Constitutional amendment. Massachusetts sets the lowest bar in the Union, requirement amendment supporters to obtain signatures equal to 3 percent of the votes cast in the last gubernatorial election.
