Exploding paperweight costs teacher his hand

OK, let me see if I get this

We live in a state where it is illegal to even possess an empty shell casing without a license and in the only state worse than MA, a TEACHER is allowed to keep a live 40 mm round on his desk?????

I agree that, if true ,he is a Darwin candidate, but can this really be???

I'm with you on this one Derek. Maybe the shell was corroded so instead of just popping the round off the top maybe the whole thing fragmented....

Wow. I'm going to have to double check my mortar round flyswatter, artillery shell footstool, and the kids' .50 BMG teething rings.
