With the likely passing of H.4139, is it worth FA-10'ing a frame prior to passing, or no? It seems unclear if grandfathering will be allowed. Unsure if it's worth suddenly finishing my builds or not.

Is it possible for me to efa11 just so I'm one extra efa'd?

Yeah, my main worry is that I was doing a deal back in 2015 and I only did an EFA-8. I'm very concerned the new legislation means the state will now come after me, looking for those other two EFAs.

What should I do, NES? Help me!

Secretly I think more of myself than people with shite taste in guns. Will this be ok under the new regulations? It's most of my self worth and I don't have the money for another hobby. Please advise.

Don't worry. I'll transfer you an efa2 when I get home from work. If you leave me good feedback!

You will get some people saying, this is just a precursor to something even worse down the line (confiscation) so they know who has them so they can take them away. Their advice is to keep them off the grid. If you are an upstanding member of society (not that those other people aren't) and the legality can somehow hurt you or makes you uncomfortable in any way, then complete the build and FA 10 it and it will be kosher in the meantime. That seems to be the options if I am understanding correctly.

understood. my question is if people think there's value in having an FA-10'd rifle prior to the potential passing of the law. a "pre-2024" rifle, if you will.

a frame isn't a firearm, i get it.
It would be a firearm. Or will be...

Or lie in a form that it's complete. Which is better to you? You already said you never completed it

You do you.

not sure if you can read... last sentence of my post "Unsure if it's worth suddenly finishing my builds or not."

it'd be a firearm.

You could drive a 1-ton through the lines of this topic; should be easy enough to read between them.

He means you're asking a question that literally nobody can answer, because the wording of the committee revision isn't released yet. And even once it is? It'll be written vaguely and broadly enough that it can mean anything.

Really, truly OP, you're your own best judge of what you should do.

It’s basically every man for himself at this point. Nobody knows what to do.

Just to be safe, the best course of action is to probably cut up any weapons you may have with an angle grinder and then post the video here.

clearly, i need to make better life decisions!
Haha, you and me both. I completed my build today and FA-10'd it. I know comments will crucify me, but whatever. I'll take the grandfathered legality for the time being. I just need to figure out what non roster handgun to get and hope the wife doesn't divorce me! 🤣 I'm thinking the PDP or trying to find 365 x macro compensated. Unfortunately my funds aren't great enough for something TOO crazy.

You might be a genius. I imagine you just found an untapped content creator youtube niche.
