Good day to hit the Range

10MM training today in the action pit. I have a love hate relationship with that glock trigger. It's great gun but I'm awful tempted to put in a trigger with a lot less take up. But, for what and where that gun gets used for, that trigger likely makes sense.

Today was a combination rucksack hill workout and shooting. The stand, steel, gun, tripod, binos, etc. added up to a bit of weight on my back. And the hike was all up. My wife and I had so much fun with the ARs. Perfect score on hitting the steel at 325 yards. The little clays, not so much. I'm very happy with my handloads. I'm comfortable going out to 300 yards on a yote.

I hope santa hooks me up with a bipod. It would really come in handy. The tripod is great for tall grass challenges but less than ideal for prone. I'd call my position here high prone. It worked. 20241221_101946.jpg

No can? 16" barrel? What ammo? Is that screenshot from video?
Thanks!
YHM Phantom suppressor.
10.5" barrel.
M193.
Yes, screenshot.

The Surefire Scout Light is on, so that might distort what you can see a little bit.

Here is a better look at the front end.

Are red dots really worth it for a shotgun? I keep going back and forth on that.
Bottom line, no it's not necessary. I don't run one for need, just because I like it. On the shorter barreled shot guns I zero my dot for slugs @ 50 yds, if I load buck shot I basically print around my dot. I like that if I'm in a hurry to get a shot off anything that dot covers is getting some holes in it, I don't have to worry about lining up sights.

Snuck out to the range for a quick outing with the Taurus TX22. Installed the new Lakeline barrel along with a tandemkross reduced power trigger spring. The accuracy was noticeably better than the factory taurus barrel but I did have a few failure to feed and eject. Only shot about 300 rounds of Aguila 38 gr copper plated HP. Maybe it needs to get it broken in. We’ll see

No pictures, just a quick trip to the range to try out my new-to-me HK P7, definitely different from other semi-autos. Recoil feels light, I'm shooting 147gr, but gun is also light and the hold is different with that squeeze cocker. I can see where they were coming from, light, thin, simple with no controls. Nothing to get hung up or slow you down and with no safety it's still 100% safe with one in the chamber, you're never going to snag that trigger on something and have it go off.

I found out just the other day there is now a US company making P7 M8s and M13s with a combination of left over HK parts and fully new production.

Not too cold, but some light rain, good day to shoot a glock - they are waterproof ya know
Really liking this G47, im calling this my basic bitch setup. Just a delta point pro with the {gasp} mos plate, otherwise stock. Cheap holster, mag pouch and belt from the jungle website.
