It's great news they've abandoned the Dr. note requirement. Thanks!Planned on doing it tomorrow AM at work because I have my calendar with dates there.
Actually, I did my interview on 11/9, which was a Wednesday. No doctors note, no questions at all from my app, just photos and prints. The detective sgt that did it all was as nice a fellow as could be. I was very nervous and apprehensive about what I would be asked, but no problems at all. Very professional and personable. Took no time at all. The longest thing was getting the computer to boot up for prints and pictures. A very painless procedure in Andover.
Not at all what I had expected, having heard second and third-hand some other stories. Perhaps that was in the past?

My GF just got her Class A LTC with no restrictions. Took about 7 weeks from interview to pickup of license. No BS. Very positive and professional process with the PD.
I can't find the thread I saw earlier about Leominster, so I am posting here, sorry. Maybe someone can point me to the right place.
But, is Leominster still green? Any new info on it would be great. I read it earlier somewhere, but lost the thread now.
I believe it is still green.
I applied just over two weeks ago and the licensing clerk put LTC-A 'All lawful purposes' on the application by default (didn't even ask). I haven't heard of anyone getting a restricted license recently. She said it was about an 8 week wait (due to delays at the state level).
Still requires two letters of recommendation, though.
It's looking that way. Dedham for sure. I even think Worcester might almost be there. Is Dedham really a green town now? Andover too?

+1, but I'll say it before some other party-pooper does... sad that we get so excited about something that should be a foregone conclusion in the US.Hell is freezing over. I love it.

New to Mass (formerly from RI, pistol permit holder for 18 years/no restrictions) and I went through the LTC process in Swansea. Chalk up another green mark for that town! Application process went smooth as silk, and I just got my LTC yesterday (Class A/No restrictions). And yes, I filled out the survey from the link on the first page.
I can honestly say it felt like the cop was there to help me, not prevent me from obtaining an LTC or make life difficult for me.
