Gun Safe Organization

I usually lean towards taking up more space to they’re more visible and easier to grab.

But an option is various wall panel companies and utilizing the space in the upper half for carbines, or on the inside of the door. It requires a safe that’s wide enough though.

Edit: Not mine, but maximize normally underutilized space. But note this door usage doesn’t work if you have all your rifles crammed into the bottom half of your safe all the way in depth.

My safe is way too small and has been for a while
I just built shelves last week but ultimately I think I’m building a vault in the basement this winter
AR mags on top shelf
M1A mags on second shelf
Handguns and 10/22/ mags on 3rd shelf
Rifles below
Also have handguns in holsters attached to the inside of the door

I’ll PM a pic of you want but definitely not posting here

Best advice I can offer is to stagger your rifles. One with barrel up, the next with stock up and so on. Will increase your rifle capacity in the safe. As to handguns I have a number of those 6 gun rubbered covered wire racks. They work great and I can get 6-8 of them on a shelf in the safe, so that's up to 48 handguns on a single shelf.

Now if someone can point me to a good way to arrange mags in the safe, I'd be eternally grateful!

I used magnetic tool holders from harbor freight and affixed them to the interior door of a metal cabinet
ETA- added pic and yes I need to load some mags.

That is a big ass safe to be able to fit a rifle on the door longways lol

Haha, yeah. The RPD on there means that is a big boy

But many of the “40” size safes can fit SBRs/braced pistols, or folded carbines.

Edit: and you can use that vertical space on the door too for a row of rifles/shotguns.

I am having problems organizing rifles, shotguns and handguns in my safe, it might be too small.

Can anyone post pics of the inside of your safe to give me some ideas? Like ways you saved room to be able to add more guns etc.

Thanks
Don't do it folks- I heard @FalArAk went rogue and is now a cartel gun runner for Eric Holder.

I have separate cabinet for my hand guns.
I have a little space i was thinking of framing it in on all sides with staggered steel studs, 1" drywall, rockwool insulation. Top it off with a fire rated door. I could fit 100 guns if i wanted, and have space for a little safe. Hide it behind a bookcase.

The magnetic door and sidewall pockets work great for mags. Lots of different ones available.

I ran out of room in my safe so I keep a few beater AR's outside of it leaned up against the wall, I just took the BCG's out and keep those inside the safe.

I'm not worried about them getting stolen but my girlfriends 13 year old has friends over all the time and I'm just taking the extra step to be safe not that any of them would dare to mess around in my gun room but still

Nice try Maura

Scopes and vertical grips kill any capacity numbers tha manufacturers put on safes.
