We need to coordinate signs and have a consistent message. And not make signs that look like a child with crayons wrote them.
You guys putting your addresses when you email senators and such?
I'm putting my town.
I was going to make a sign of Maura and her wife tonguing each other with hitler moustaches. Too much?
Imagine if you will:
This fully suspended mountain bike looks like a motorcycle.
The legislature decides that because it looks like a motorcycle is must be one.
You argue that it has no motor, the thing that makes the motorcycle different from a bicycle. You also point out the fully suspended mountain bike is really no different in operation than the Schwinn Stingray we all rode as kids.
The legislature says it looks like a motorcycle though and they watched the Isle of Man TT where these motorcycles go 200mph through city streets.
You argue that those are motorcycles, not mountain bikes.
The legislature decides that you can have either a front suspended or a rear suspended bicycle, but no front and rear on the same bike because that makes it a motorcycle and everyone knows 200mph motorcycles have no business on city streets.
You accept the fact that elected representatives are morons but the only thing you can buy is a singly suspended bike. So you buy a nice front suspended Rockhopper.
Yesterday the Attorney General announces that in fact singly suspended bikes are also motorcycles because the original law uses the word ‘suspended’. She also announces that for the last 22 years every time a front suspended bicycle sold in this state it was a felony, and the continued possession of these bikes is a continuing felony. Moreover she says possession of the wheels, frame or fork of these bikes is also a felony, but she is not going to prosecute any of it (for now) because people just didn’t know. She sends a letter to every bike shop and tells them not to sell any mountain bikes because they are motorcycles. The shops comply because they have families and bill to pay, but about 25% of their legal business just got declared a felony.
If you are a Massachusetts gun owner this is your reality today. Substitute mountain bike with AR-15 and motorcycle with machine gun.
Overruled by who?
Exactly. This will not go away any time soon. It will stick until (a) the law is changed in a way that explicitly denies her interpretation, (b) her office prosecutes under her interpretation and a judge tosses the case as a matter of law with such clarity as to make future prosecutions extremely unlikely, (c) someone with standing (denied buyer?) sues and wins, or (d) some new AG comes in an reverses her position.
She isn't going to just change her mind. This will stick and it will stick for quite some time even in the best scenario.
I was going to make a sign of Maura and her wife tonguing each other with hitler moustaches. Too much?
Some petitions out there. Whatever we can do sign them!
Hey,
I just started the petition "Massachusetts State House: Maura Healy to recall her position as Attorney General" and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.
My goal is to reach 100 signatures and I need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

When's she up for [STRIKE=reelection]reelection[/STRIKE] coronation? 2018?
I'll go try to buy an AR after the rally Saturday if Comm2A wants to use me.

the colonists would have revolted over this. Just sayin'
This is how the revolution started, the British trying to take our arms haha
Dear Senator Rush,
I wanted to contact you regarding the recent announcement by AG Maura Healey on her new interpretation of the MA AWB (assault weapons ban) and read your thoughts on the matter. As you know, the AG has issued some new guidance on what an "assault weapon" is and in doing so has essentially made felons out of otherwise law-abiding citizens. While she said the directive would grandfather these gun owners in, her statement specifically left open the possibility for that to change and for other acts to be carried out in the future. AG Healey has unilaterally reinterpreted Massachusetts state law, which not only appears to go against the MA constitution, but is blatant overreach that obviates your office's role and the senate as a whole. I feel that the AG's actions, despite your personal feelings on the matter of gun control, are a danger to the state and set a terrible precedent going forward.
This affects hundreds of thousands of gun owners, many small business in the state, as well as the role of our elected officials on Beacon Hill. I hope you can take a stand against the AG's actions, and allow such matters to be discussed by our elected officials and not be decided behind closed doors in the dead of the night.
I hope to hear from you regarding this matter. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Manipulatory

LIGHT THIS SHIT UP boys and girls. 617- 725- 4005
When's she up for reelection? 2018?
Here is the key principle: Both Heller and McDonald corroborated that the right to bear arms is “fundamental”; i.e., it is implicit in the concept of ordered liberty and deeply rooted in our nation’s traditions and culture. Consequently, the Constitution establishes a presumption of individual liberty. That means government bears a heavy burden to justify any regulations that would compromise the right.

Apparently that Witch didn't get the memo. She needs no justification what so ever.
Felon = [strike=]no LTC[/strike] PP for life in all states.... Thats her game!
During your calls, be sure to tell the fine folks that we also want to bring to the floor a method for the citizens of this state to affect a recall of officials that are far out of line.
We need to work on that too.
I'm thinking of a sign that says "He's now a felon" with horizontal arrows pointing in both directions.
I was thinking:
I have an AK 47
I'm a felon
Deal With It
I think the quickest path to turning this around is political. The Mass pols need to see this as a power grab in the AG's office that deserves to be beaten back. In general, nobody in Mass politics really cares about guns. They use the issue to get elected and that's about it. But everyone in government cares about their power and their turf. The opportunity here (maybe) is to craft a new AWB that is clear, doesn't change things much (best we can hope for probably) and clearly grandfathers existing guns (as opposed to the AG's prosecutorial discretion promise to thousands of newly created felons). The legislature can then declare victory for "meaningful" gun control, as opposed to the "risky and speculative" actions by the AG, power can grabbed, and everyone in Mass politics apart from Healy gets to win. So, this all likely boils down to how well she is liked and what open scores there are to settle.
better yet she is forced to resign, whores on beacon hill can appoint another dummy who is more fearful of making waves.
there has to be solid repercussion against this kind of bs and guncrowd should establish themselves as power to recon with, otherwise we are useless peons worth nothing.
