Another shooting in Boston just happens to shove the murder rate to a ten-year high. How could that happen, with all these laws in place? What rotten luck.
Well, I don't doubt that the shooter registered himself and his firearm with the Boston police, so I'm sure they won't have any trouble tracking him down.
Rudimentary news report
You know, that brings up a question that I am morbidly interested in. How often do police compile a list of suspects from the listing legal gun owners living near a crime scene? I hope the answer is 'never', but if guns really are the cause of crime, then smart police work would start with the registered gun owners first. If (as I suspect) police don't bother with such unlikely suspects, isn't that obvious evidence that the whole gun-licensing/gun-registration system is useless?
