After combing through the roster, I think these are the only 1911's that are chambered in 9MM. From what I can tell, the Ruger SR1911 (06794) is the only option that has a 5" barrel and is on the more affordable end. Are there any others I'm missing? Thanks!

Ruger SR1911 9+1 5" (06794) - $799.00 MSRP
Kimber Rapide Dawn 9+1 5" - $1998.00 MSRP
Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost 9+1 5" - $999.00 MSRP
Kimber Stainless Target II 9+1 5" - $1140.00 MSRP
Smith & Wesson SW1911 Pro Series 10+1 5" - $1839.00 MSRP
Ruger SR1911 Commander-Style 9+1 4.25" (06722) - $1279.00 MSRP
Ruger SR1911 Officer-Style 7+1 3.60" (06758) - $1279.00 MSRP
Para Ordinance - Seems like they possibly make one? Their website doesn't seem functional.
Springfield Armory - They had lots of good options... but all of their 9MM 1911's on the roster are discontinued...

I have a Colt competition model in 9mm, one of my best shooters but it had to go back to the factory to have the ejector tuned, not uncommon for 9mm 1911’s. They shortened the ejector and I haven’t had a single malfunction in 1000rds.

All the rugers in your list have aluminum frames which don't interest me in a range pistol. I would buy a colt gold cup trophy which I believe is target roster.

Edit... it is

Their website isn't functional to prepare you for their guns not being functional.

Para has had serious QC issues over the years that has dragged down their reputation. I've got 2, neither 9mm. The first one was early in their production, and was okay. Not great, just okay. The rear adjustable sight tried to spit out its hinge pin in the first 400 rounds. My coworker bought a 9mm about the same, didn't notice the pin trying to escape, lost the whole top of the sight. Months to get parts out of them.

Other than that they both ran acceptably well, but neither of us put any serious round counts through them to explore their longevity. The big selling point at the time was the double stack frame.

Several years later, my brother and I each picked up one in a group buy through people my brother knew. His developed the chickenpox within a few months - looked like it had been spattered with oil drops just after paint prep and before it went in the booth to get sprayed. That took the better part of a year to resolve.

Mine didn't freckle, but had such a big paint run on the bottom of the dust cover that the gun wouldn't cycle completely until I filed the paint down. I didn't bother returning that to Para - it worked, still had paint on it. Neither of those ever became high round counts pistols.

There may indeed be decent Paras, but I'll be damned if I'd know how to find them.

There are a lot more options than these. Check the target roster. There are some others I am able to sell also if you stop by the shop

This is true. I noticed the one I mentioned has the lightweight frame which is pretty much the opposite of what I’d want. Thanks for the input

I’ve have the S&W Pro Series 1911 in 9mm and it been a great, accurate gun. Snip...

Same, never a hiccup (top right) with a very early JRE and a Smith PPK/s (it's stainless, just reflecting a black shirt I had on). None have ever FTF or FTE, even the PPK no matter how loosely you hold it.

Some of the 1911's and a PPK:s.jpeg

This.

I have a Tisas 5" Duty in 9mm and am pleased by it for 400 bucks. I added grips and a EB textured backstrap/ flared magwell and its pretty nice.

I don't think it comes in stainless though if your looking for that. But the finish is good.
