MA Hunter Safety course always full

It seems that Hunter safety courses in southeast MA are few and far between... and the ones that are there fill up quickly. I am on the waiting list, but there has been nothing available yet. I really want to go Turkey / Waterfowl hunting this year. Anyone got any tips? are there non state sanctioned hunter safety classes that the state will accept for hunting licenses? anyone on here a certified instructor in SE MA, that I could join their class? I know that the state classes are free, but I might be willing to pay at this point.

I ended up having to go to NH for a class. But, I think on another thread someone (an instructor?) had mentioned that the number of no-shows is a very high percentage and walk-ons can often attend the course. It sounds a bit risky and you may waste a morning if you don't get in, but it might be worth a shot...

try hanson, not full yet,doesnt start until april i think.

Call the number; don't rely on the website. Recent class in the NE said was it was full but they welcomed everyone (123 was the count).

Show up the night/day of course. We always have no-shows.
