Looking at work options, 45 min outside Pittsburgh is a choice as well as Lancaster/York area which people say is kinda a dump. No way am I considering anything near Philly ever lol.
Why the next move I want to buy enough land to shoot on and not be a member of a club. Some examples are the removal of all steel targets, no more than 5 rounds loaded in a magazine at a time and a minimum of 2 seconds between shots. All the alternative clubs I look into seem almost as bad or are impossible to get into. A private range on privately owned land is the only viable option in southern NH unless you just want to shoot trap or sight in a deer rifle.
If all you care about are guns, then ME or NH. I am sure PA is also fine, but probably a distant third.
There are so many other things to care about, I won't even bother spending my time typing here since it is clear your view is very shallow and either you haven't done any research, or you haven't put any thought or this thread is just total BS and a waste of time.
Based on OP prior threads and the way he worded the OP ....I wouldn't say that. I'm sure OP has thought about a number of issues given his choices in the thread. This is a gun forum, so the gun issue comes up first. Doesn't mean it is the number one issue.
You mentioned the lack of shooting clubs and limitations in FL before. Are there any good options within driving distance in coastal FL (hour or two max) or do you have to go to the interior of the state? For example, my current situation is within a 40 minute drive of me there are 4 clubs I could shoot at. My primary club has an outdoor range with 100 and 300 yards as well as indoor 24/7 for pistol.Based on OP prior threads and the way he worded the OP ....

There is a good reason I said there are other things to care about besides just guns.
Let's use West Coast Florida. You can own whatever you want, but if you live South of Tampa, it is a desert for gun clubs except a handful of pistol ranges that require monthly membership + pay a day pass + book time before going and maybe 1 public range that is full of trash and idiots. Gun situation = total sh*t.
So, if all you care about are guns and don't pay attention to the rest, you can end up in a State where you can buy what you want but every place to shoot s*cks a**.
Unless you are one of those gun owners that splits a box of 50 rounds with someone else because you never shoot.
Just one example.
Why the next move I want to buy enough land to shoot on and not be a member of a club.
We voted commie shit like this down in our club in MA a time or two over the years with a few old fudds bringing it up. A few other clubs nearby have some similar rules......no rapid fire, no steel.
Can't believe they do this shit in NH.
Let's use West Coast Florida.
Just one example.
Do you go to meetings? Have you considered running for the Board?Believe it. I was a member at Andover before moving up here. They have a reputation for being overbearing but even they have steel and allow 10 rounds in a mag. My current club used to be a gem but if the new rules go through I'm not renewing my membership. I'm looking into alternative clubs but haven't really found anything better.
From Wimauma, near where my brother lives, there are some good options within an hour. But further south is pretty dead. Wimauma is as far south as I would go, at least on the West side. You mentioned the lack of shooting clubs and limitations in FL before. Obviously, FL is a big state, but so far I haven't done any research into guns and shooting outside of the laws and have been focused on coastal property because we need to be near the water.
I gave one example.It's a shit example.
Florida has crappy restrictive gun laws.
Do you go to meetings? Have you considered running for the Board?
If you want a white fence, you have to keep painting it.
Sure.I get what you're saying but until now there was little reason to go. Everything was chugging along unchanged for years and then suddenly blew up out of nowhere. It's a big ask to rush away from work and ditch my wife with our three small kids at dinner and bedtime to attend a meeting. I'd prefer to use my little free time to actually shoot. As I said before, clubs might be fine for some people but I've realized that a private range is the only viable path forward.
Please expand on this...It's a shit example.

One night a month is a big ask to make sure your club doesnt go commie? Can't really bitch unless your get involved.I get what you're saying but until now there was little reason to go. I'll answer myself, feel free to provide details to back up your claims:Please expand on this...
For comparison, let's use the complete shitshow that is MA gun laws.
Every time I see this statement I feel compelled to remind you people you’re wrong.I would pick NH over the other two, but, it’s a purple state and will get bluer as the cities in the southern part of the state get flooded with new arrivals.
By the way, going to NH or ME isn’t leaving New England, they’re both considered New England states.
That’s why I moved to NH and just kept buying guns.there is nowhere to run.
true conservatives must get their act together because the socialist left is way ahead right now, in terms of organization and solidarity
and sorry for you, but the attitude of "run away to a free state" is exactly what the left wants you to do.
Just look at what Californians are doing to Idaho right now.

I was younger and went thru this, but every time this shit came up for a vote, I was there to vote it down........now...as a more active member.....
We don't even table this type of shit anymore for a vote. Most of the leadership is Gen X, old boomers are dying off, and we simply say, we've voted this before and its been voted down repeatedly. We are not wasting time with gun control at this club, the state has more than enough to go around. Anyone that likes gun control can feel free to join another club.
"Better than MA" is hardly a sales pitch. "Buy this Ford Pinto, at least it's not a Geo Metro."I'll answer myself, feel free to provide details to back up your claims:
FL:
No license/permit required to purchase/own handgun, rifle, shotgun.
No limit on magazine capacity.
Allows SBR's and Silencers.
Stand your ground.
MA:
Require a license to purchase/own any firearm
Magazine limits
Doesn't allow Silencers
No stand your ground
AWB and arbitrary lists of allowed handguns to be purchased
Seems like FL is a gun mecca compared to MA. NH is obviously good to go as well. Not sure what you don't like about FL gun laws...
Sounds like a MA politician is running your club, that's their MO.Your club sounds like it has good leadership. Up until last night I had no reason to believe that my club was any different. In four years there wasn't a hint of anything like what was proposed. The new proposed rules were sent to the membership four days before the monthly meeting which is held in mid August when a lot of people are out of town.
I love this and would go a step further: propose rolling the rules back to what they were with the additional requirement to provide those two months' notice before they can hold a vote on anything this important.Sounds like a MA politician is running your club, that's their MO.
Our club has a two month vote on any major changes like that to stop shit like that from happening. I suggest if you care you propose the same thing at the next meeting. Or quit and let them know they are losing a younger member because of their bullshit.
Try listing the restricted areas where gun owners can not carry or possess guns in FL vs. NH! That changes the equation significantly.I'll answer myself, feel free to provide details to back up your claims:

Very true. I live in Hudson, drive thru Litchfield, Londonderry, Derry, and Windham as well. The number of American flags outside of homes, Gadsden flags and even a few AR-15 flags are damn near everywhere. An ex-NES'r is a Rep. State Rep from Windham. Every state rep and state sen in my area are all republicans and not RINOs!Every time I see this statement I feel compelled to remind you people you’re wrong.
SE NH has been very red at the state level.
I was just in Nashua, a few blocks off Main Street. Definitely a pit.Nashua is a sanctuary city and totally different, but easy to avoid.
