The knockdown steel matches that are run on the first sunday of the month are centerfire pistol only, 9mm minimum and I'm pretty sure Rich would complain if someone wanted to shoot at his steel with a S&W 500.
$5.00 per gun. 25 pieces of steel per stage, 3 stages per match. Setup at 12:30, first shots at 1:00. Open to the public.
A great time is had by all.

How busy will trap be on the 4th anyone know? I plan on heading down there haven't done it yet.
Anyone at the club know how to change a firing pin over an O/U?

I had my orientation and interview last night and was there tonight shooting. Very glad I went with the MRA. Planning on heading back Sunday morning to try a little trap. I look forward to meeting more members.

Next MRA steel shoot: rimfire, Monday, setup at 6:30. (There's also a pin shoot Sunday afternoon.) The MRA forum has a schedule of the weekend shoots someplace. (The Monday shoots are a recent addition.)
Ok I don't have pistol. Also wondering if anyone would want to let me try a 347 or a 44 revolver sometime.
I was there this evening out on the Pope range.beautiful evening to be shooting outdoors! I didnt bring my .347, but I did have my .357 that I would have gladly let you shoot.....

I paid my fees last week, doing the orientation/test on Sunday. Excited to be able to actually sight in my rifle some day...
Good for you and good luck with the test on Sunday. Just read the range rules well and you should do fine. I guess I get to be the first to say welcome to the club!!

You probably saw something about Woburn Sportsmen's Association (which is indeed having a meeting today). Mass Rifle is indeed in Woburn, but is a different club entirely.
(Actually, just to confuse the issue, Woburn Sportsmen's isn't actually in Woburn at all, it's on the Middlesex Turnpike up on the Bedford/Billerica border. Confused yet?)
