I recently got to shoot a Mossberg MC2c for the first time. It's another glock wannabe, but I was REALLY surprised at how good it felt in the hand and how the trigger felt out of the box. It's better than my Caniks, and dare I say on par with Sig Sauer. The recoil is typical of any other polymer striker.

But I see zero in the classifieds. I see next to nothing of it mentioned anywhere in the forums. They are on the roster. Did they just get forgotten in the pile of other similar pistols?

My friend got one for free when he bought a shotgun (this is in TN). It has a safety you can't remove, and it's in a funky non-standard location. Otherwise he says it's fine. A no-go for me based on the safety, but if you're stuck with MA pistols it would be OK I think. I would need to watch some reviews.

The cross-bolt safety is an option. Unfortunate he got one with one. The location is weird, I definitely agree.

I have an MC2c that I am very pleased with for my EDC pistol. I have only run approx. 100 rounds thru the pipe.

Can you get them in MA without the safety? I.e. from a dealer?
Yes.....dont' get the one with the safety. That thing is not at all what you want...unless your really gonna use it as one and only carry piece. Im not sure who designed it...but it was retarded.

I am a huge advocate of the MC2C without the safety. It is extremely underrated carry piece that sits in the G48/shield category. I was looking at G48 or something and this is by far for me, cheaper and better as it carries 16 rounds in a standard cap mag. For MA...I know your 10. But still. Thinner than a G48 and tons of mag capacity.

I got my MC2C's at Battlehawk armory for 245 each back then.....this was on a sale I think. But they will be lower than most american/glock guns in the same category. These came WITH factory night sights...

I don't know if they'll sell them to you now...no idea. It was not the MA compliant model.

That's about half the price of a G48 without night sights. American made gun. Great trigger, great capacity, slimmer than a G48. There is nothing not to like and mines been 100 percent reliable. Its in my truck console every day., and when Im not carrying the full size, Im carrying the MC.

I have run about 1K rounds thru mine by now....i take it with me and shoot it every other time at the range or so, 50-100 rounds...never clean it until the 3rd or 4th time. Its run like a glock for me.

I'm moving back to NC in about two weeks and was looking at G43x or dagger micro. I might snag a no-safety and check it out. Thanks.
